How To Cord Strap
Cord strap is the easiest strapping to use. There is just one tool, a tensioner, to pull the strapping tight. The wire buckle does not need a sealer. The buckle acts like one way check valve, letting the strapping pull though tighter. If you don’t need lots of tension, you can pull it hand tight and be done, no tools!
We see cord rolls in delivery trucks, used for picking up return loads. The driver can safely secure the load before it is put on his truck. The pig trucks for lumber loads use the same strapping trick. The can band the lumber right in the field if then need to bring it back. The only expense is the roll of cord strap, and a handful of buckles.
A simple T-bar tool is used for an inexpensive tensioner. Half of operators that try it like it more then the standard tensioner!
