Strapping cannot get easier than by using Fromm’s P331, by far the BEST tool in the packaging industry. Though it looks similar to the P330 this tool has an increased tensioning capacity. This tool can now take the 1 ¼” poly strapping and this also allows greater flexibility.
The P331 can pull tension of about 1600 pounds and as it has removed the sealing lever, two buttons have been added with the option to run the tool in fully automatic mode. This tool is therefore a boon to industries who look to increase their productivity and get the work done faster.
Specifications
Strap Qualities: Polypropelene and polyester
Strap dimensions: ¾”-1”-1 1/4” x.016-.053”
Maximum tension: 1600 pounds
Sealing type: Friction weld sealing
Weight: 15 pounds (including battery)
The P331 comes with two batteries and a charger and each battery provides about 400 cycles. This tool is a great boon to operators as it is a combination tool that can carry out strapping, sealing and cutting in one go at the stroke of a button. However the tool is slightly heavier, but this tool eliminates the wires all around the workroom floor. The operators can handle the tool easily and take it around the work place too.
The P331 also uses the friction weld type of sealing which eliminates the use of steel seals. This also reduces the cost of stocking up on seals which are expensive. This is the only battery strapping tool that according to experts locks the weld down perfectly. This is also the safest as it eliminates the risk of the operator pulling the tool open before the weld settles properly.
Using the friction weld sealing has proved economical and has also increased the productivity in work rooms. The only competitor to the P331 is the BXT2-32. According to Allstrap the P331 is the best and they prefer the P331 for its overall performance and durability. The P331 is excellent for heavy duty applications and suitable for strapping upto 32mm width. It pulls a tension of about 7000N. It is an ideal tool to use with poly strapping.
Allstrap supplies all major brands of tools and they recommend P331 as a great tool to use with plastic strapping. For more information on tools and repairs, call Allstrap’s customer department.
