The FROMM A461 sealing tool is the ergonomically perfect pneumatic sealer which has been of great help for the metal industry. Since it can be operated single-handedly, the double-notch up-cut seal joint is achieved with a single stroke without causing extreme operator fatigue. At the same time, the seal guarantees utmost safety too.

Basic features of A461

  • Suitable for High tensile (Ultraflex) strapping up to 1100 N/mm and regular duty steel strapping (Uniflex) up to 850 N/mm
  • Width of the steel strap varies between 19.0 – 32.0 mm and thickness between 0.63 – 1.00 mm.
  • Weight of the machine is 9.3 lbs.
  • Overlap seal with double-notch up-cut joint that guarantees a minimum of 75% breaking strength
  • Separate tensioner model A452 is needed for tensioning purpose

A wise idea to invest in A461

If you need to strap loads of steel coils, pipes, beams, timber or other irregular shaped objects with long diameter and small surface areas it is a wise idea to invest in A461. Rated one of the strongest pneumatic tools, it comes with amazing capability to pull around 1900 lbs of tension. Its single handed operation helps reduce operator stress. A single stroke is just enough to achieve that perfect up-cut double notch joint. Very high standard seal safety mechanism ensures that the tool doesn’t produce poor seal joints due to its faulty execution. The tool handle can be oriented in any position, i.e. parallel to the strap or at a 90 degree angle. The user should select the right version as per convenience. In order to achieve high tensioning and flawless sealing, this pneumatic sealer needs to be teamed up with the pneumatic pusher type tensioner A452.

As is evident from the above discussion, FROMM A461 is the perfect sealer which helps achieve high quality seal within minimum time but without compromising on the safety factors.

Grip Pack Tensioner: Battery Driven Steel Strapping Tool

Battery operated tools are currently an industry rage. Several tools have been designed and developed to make life easier for workers. These battery operated tools are the most conveniently used tools in recent times. It has literally saved time and money and contributed to increasing the productivity in the industry.

The Grip Pack Tensioner complements the pneumatic PN2-114 and it runs on an 18V battery. The greatest advantage of using this tool is the mobility it offers. It can be taken from work room to work room in the industry with a lot of ease and still be an operator’s delight. This tool has helped increase the productivity and is highly efficient.

The tensioner is a pusher style tool, where its nose is used to push seals and pull tension. It also uses the same amount of tension used by other pneumatic tools. The Grip Pack tensioner also eliminates the cost of air lines as compared with other pneumatic tools.  The Grip Pack Tensioner can also pull about 1500 lbs of tension and this surprises a lot of industry users.

The amount of tension depends on the kind of battery being used. The Lithium-ion battery used here helps pull the maximum tension. Also with its one touch button, this tool has vastly improved productivity.

The strapping used is the Magnus or Apex Plus steel strapping. With this the tension is adjustable from 800 to 1500 lbs. It weighs 8.5 lbs. making it a very light weight tool. The tool is extremely durable and wear and tear is considerably less when compared with other pneumatic tools. Another feature of the battery used here is that it can complete up to 120 strapping cycles. The battery also gets recharged quickly in about 15 to 20 minutes. The Grip Pack Tensioner comes with a spare battery and charger.

Last but not the least is that the Grip Pack Tensioner 114 is ergonomically designed and greatly reduces operator fatigue. Because of this feature, any number of steel strapping operation is possible and for any type of application. No wonder this is considered a wonder tool by the industry.

All of Signode’s tools are supplied by Allstrap. Signode products are well known in the market and are very popular. Benefits of Strapping Device P380

Strapping is a delicate process that needs to be done carefully. A loose band here or an incomplete seal there defeats the purpose of strapping, i.e. making the package or box secure. A lot depends on picking up the right tool matching specific requirements. If the client wants to particularly strap round or irregular shaped objects then conventional strapping kits may not suit his purpose. The good news is that with availability of a range of highly advanced strapping options, it is not that difficult to find the suitable one for any difficult application. While steel strapping can still serve the purpose it is a pneumatic strapping device that has introduced further finesse to the procedure of banding round items.

The P380 tool by FROMM is the first banding tool which has simplified the process of strapping round or irregular objects. Pneumatic power of the machine ensures very fast and reliable delivery whereas the 15 lbs. weight makes it quite light and easy to use. This is one complete device which has effectively addressed problems usually faced while banding irregular items. The machine’s perfect ergonomics with suspension bracket ensures that it can be balanced vertically or horizontally. Since the strap grip is placed at the back of the tool, out of the way of the strapping process, it eases the entire operation.P380-275x245

Attractive features of P380

  • The device supports Polypropylene and Polyester strapping. Its one-handed operation by pressing a single button keeps the operator stress free.
  • Strap width ranging between 13.0-19.0 mm and thickness of 0.40-1.35 mm is permissible. The device is applicable on flat package size of 80 mm / 3.1″ and round package size of 2 x 70 mm / 2.7″ or 1 x 240 mm / 9.4″.
  • A major change from previous devices which makes P380 a preferred option is separating the feed wheel and the welder. In this version, the feed wheel has been moved behind the welder thus making the foot under strapping much smaller. This not only simplifies the strapping procedure but assures additional safety too.
  • With strap tension of 600 – 2000 N / 135 – 450 lbs, the tool guarantees very fast and accurate banding.

Benefits of using P380

It helps reduce cost and strapping time as well as enhances safety. The machine being more-than-perfect doesn’t leave any scratch marks on color coated products or coil surfaces.

How to Operate Battery Strapping Tool P327

Commercial packaging demands very high quality strapping which can be achieved with plastic strapping tools.
